This is the second drawing of mine using a statue at a fountain in uptown Charlotte as the model. Uptown Charlotte has really changed in my lifetime. There are lots of nice restaurants , green areas , and art to enjoy. So....Enjoy !

I am a self taught artist. I am retired and sketch as a relaxing hobby. Born and raised in Kannapolis, NC (near Charlotte), I have always enjoyed sketching. Most of my work is of landscapes, probably due to the fact that I love just sitting and watching nature. I love to sketch old barns and houses while hiking in the mountains of NC. My hope is that my art will trigger a fond memory or just bring a smile to your face. After all that's what its all about, sharing the joy of art.
